Server Hardware Repairs
Sorry for the downtime today. The router for the server has gone bad and needs to be replaced. I am
working on getting a backup router into place and getting it configured is being a pain in the ass. We
will let you know when the network is backonline once again.
At first a lot of people thought that the closure of BCOM was a hoax or April Fools joke. Many still believe that the whole thing is a hoax. Well the Bcom parent company did file for Bankruptcy in December of 2013 and is now taking steps to cut costs and terminate services that are not turning a profit. Among the services being scrapped are the irc server.
At the beinging of this year BCOM had two servers. Last month one of the servers went offline forever. IRC5 is no longer accessible.
IRC6 can still be reached and used for chat, but no one has stepped up to the plate to provide any useful information on what is going on and what the time frame will be.
That's really all the information that there is.
TLDR; The Bondage IRC server closure will happen at an unknown time.
